Moog Prodigy
Steve’s lead weapon of choice, the Moog Prodigy is a dual oscillator analog synth from the late 1970′s. While not as fat as a Minimoog, the Prodigy soars for synth leads, and growls when used for bass. The pitch wheel acts as a ring modulator, and the LFO wheel is always fun!
Our early model Moog Prodigy has been retrofitted with the original factory CV/Gate modification, installed by the fine folks over at Midwest Music Menders. While we don’t use the additional features much in our live show, it is terribly fun to run other instruments through the Prodigy’s filter, hook up control voltage pedals to the LFO or filter, and sync up with other CV/Gate synths.
